PIONEER DAYS
Saturday and Sunday, September 12 and 13 – 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
See demonstrations on blacksmithing, cooking, and many activities of that era. Children will participate in the games that youngsters played.
Entertainment both days will be on the patio of the Carriage House Cafe’ – Saturday: The Harmonica Man; Sunday: Piano Playing. President Lincoln and wife Mary Todd Lincoln will be present. Wild West Show at 2:00 both days. Cannon firing hourly. Food will be available in the Carriage House Cafe’.
Tickets available at the gate: $15 for adults…….$13 for seniors………$6 children (6-12)…….. Children 5 and under are free

Semiquincentennial Tea Party at Historic Lyme Village
Join us as we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America. We will be serving a variety of teas along with an assortment of classic tea sandwiches and treats! Guests will learn about the 100th birthday celebration in 1876 and join in some games from the past.

Written in Stone; Symbols and Stories from Ohio’s Cemeteries
Informative talk given by Kellee Foster about various symbols commonly found on gave stones. Differences between Graveyards and cemeteries; headstones and cenotaphs; mausoleums and columbarium. Interesting stories of some people from Ohio whose graves I have visited. I love sharing my cemetery stories with anyone who is interested and will listen. I find cemeteries to be peaceful locations filled with flora, fauna, architecture, and the fascinating stories of the people buried within.

1920’s themed Murder at the Wright Mansion fundraiser
Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM
40 guests partake in an intimate and immersive experience within the Wright Mansion. Guests are encouraged to dress in 1920’s attire and enjoy an evening of mystery, hors d’oeuvres, and “Prohibition Punch” while working together to solve a murder.

As the Civil War continued life in the North was changing – from food and fashion to schools, churches, social gatherings, and family traditions. Costumed interpreters will bring the home front to life and show how ordinary people adapted during a season of uncertainty and change.
Join us for an evening of candlelight, history, and holiday traditions at a pivotal moment in the nation’s history.
Afterwards enjoy complimentary hot cider, hot chocolate, and cookies in the Cafe’.
