The Huron Valley Quilt Guild will have a quilt display in the Detterman Log Church. Making a quilt involves gathering fabric, deciding on a pattern, and joining them into a meaningful symbol of warmth and comfort. The Huron Valley Quilt Guild has been doing that for over 40 years in Bellevue, Ohio with women who enjoy the process in all forms. After supplying their families and friends with all the warmth and comfort they could handle they began donating to charities all over Ohio, the United States, and likely the world. Quilts for preemies, survivors of Canadian wildfires, children with mental and physical handicaps are some of the examples of their donations, as well as cancer survivors, Heartbeat, police and fire departments, and military veterans. They have been involved in quilt shows at Lyme Village, Sauder Village, churches, and schools. Young and old, skilled and amateurs who want to learn meet at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bellevue, Ohio on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
